I've started learning to run for the first time in my life. Here I am hot, wet and tired after running for half an hour in the rain (I run at dawn, before the boys wake up). My new bike is also ready to go, though I haven't really tried it yet. Fitness, here I come!

Determined not to let a teething, grumpy baby prevent me from getting my exercise (for obvious reasons... MUST LOSE WEIGHT!).


It worked better than expected, from Munchkin's point of view, anyway. This will probably be the last time we use a baby carrier for Munchkin. He is getting TOO heavy!

Wombat was playing over near the veggie patch when he suddenly looked up and squealed "It's autumn! Autumn is here!"



He and Munchkin had fun collecting the first autumn leaves for the year... and I finally got a new profile pic that I am happy with!

Yesterday was mother's day, but I didn't get a chance to load the pics off my camera until today... We had a quiet day - Yeti took us to church, and then to a local park.

Munchkin was enjoying a swing - until Wombat dropped a handful of pinebark on his head. (I had stopped to fix Munchkin's socks, and Wombat wanted my attention.)



Here is my attempt to get my annual mother's day photograph...



Wombat was being a "jagular" and wanted to be off roaming... see that angelic smile? If you enlarge the next pic (by clicking on it) you might notice that the jagular is making off with... one of Munchkin's socks!!!

So many of the flowers that pop up around here are tiny - so tiny that even the macro setting of my camera struggles to focus on them. I find it helps to use my finger to give the camera something to 'grab', and this also gives a scale to the flower so you can see just how tiny it is... maybe I need a hand model, with prettier fingers though (or at least consistently clean fingernails lol :P)

Happy anniversary Yeti!

This is our 17th year together, and we were married on our 12th anniversary, so it is also our 5th wedding anniversary :D

(The rose is Cecil Brunner - one of my favourites - and Yeti's, obviously, for he planted it long before I moved out here!)

My next drop for the Toy Society. I suddenly realised we were going to the beach tomorrow, so I grabbed the first piece of fabric I found in my craft cupboard and a bunch of embroidery threads... shortly afterwards this 'tweet' pair of lovebirds were hatched.

I love Autumn - my flowers all return after the heat of summer, and I can pick bouquets for the house again.
